What is Corian®

Corian® was invented and patented by DuPont™ — the American innovator behind Nylon®, Lycra®, Kevlar® and Teflon®. Its name was inspired by the inventor’s daughter, Corinna.

What Corian® is made of.
Roughly one-third transparent acrylic resin and two-thirds natural minerals — mainly aluminium trihydrate (ATH) derived from bauxite. Natural pigments give every sheet its own distinctive look.
For more than half a century it has redefined longevity in the modern home — and it still comes with a 10-year warranty.
Design freedom, made practical.
Solid all the way through, Corian® joins seamlessly into clean, uninterrupted surfaces — and thermoforms into curves, integrated basins and custom geometries that traditional materials can’t match.
It’s non-porous, hygienic and easy to maintain, and it can be repaired and refinished over time. With our online configurator you can design a vanity top to the millimetre, then order it production-ready.
